Erie VA to host housing seminar for landlords
Help for homeless Veterans
What: Erie VA's Homeless Care Team is hosting a housing seminar to educate local landlords on opportunities to support homeless Veterans.
When: Thursday, May 31 from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Where: Booker T. Washington Center located at 1721 Holland Street in Erie
Who: This event is open to all local landlords that are interested in exploring opportunities to help homeless Veterans, specifically landlords that accept section 8 housing assistance. Erie VA serves homeless Veterans that live in the following counties: Erie, Ashtabula, Crawford, McKean, Venango, and Warren.
Why: VA's goal is to eliminate homelessness among Veterans by 2015. Erie VA's Homeless Care Team actively partners with many community agencies to work towards this goal. Partnering with local landlords willing to provide safe housing for Veterans and their families is an added tier of support for the homeless Veteran population.
Registration: Free. Please RSVP by May 28th with the Homeless Care Team at 814-860-2392.
