Hometown Heroes Bowling Tournament
UE Local 506 Sports Committee partners with the Erie VA and the Erie Vet Center to Support Veterans
What: The 10th Annual Hometown Heroes Bowling Tournament will raise funds for the local Erie Vet Center. The Vet Center provides specialized, hands-on readjustment counseling and therapy programs for Veterans and their families. New programs include Equine Assisted Therapy, Guitar Therapy, a weekend couples therapy retreat, and a craft & chat family support group. This event is sponsored by the UE Local 506 Sports Committee.
When: Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 12p.m.
Registration/Check-in will be from 11 – 11:45 a.m.
Where: Eastway Lanes on Buffalo Road
Who: This event is open to the public and there will be open registration the day of the event. Keep in mind, space is limited.
Last year, this event raised more than $9,000 to help send Veterans to the National Veterans Wheelchair Games. Erie VAMC is planning for an even bigger event this year. To participate in the Hometown Heroes Bowling Tournament, call the Voluntary Service Office at 814-860-2453.
