POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony
| |
|
| | Erie VA Medical Center is hosting the annual Prisoners of War/Missing in Action (POWs/MIA) Remembrance Ceremony to honor our Nation’s most revered heroes, those who served under the worst of conditions, sacrificing their freedom so that our country may know true liberty.
Erie VA invites former prisoners of war, their families, friends, and members of the community to attend the POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony.
Each year during the ceremony, local former POWs are given time to share their stories and experience of captivity. This year’s ceremony will also include a special missing man ceremony in remembrance of those who never returned.
Former POWs in the Erie and surrounding areas are encouraged to contact Kevin Tessner, Erie VA’s POW Coordinator, at 814-860-2038.
